Life hack podcasts for the busy entrepreneur

A great way to learn from the paths of others that made it before you and adapt new skills into growth, self regulation, and efficacy, podcasts are great tools for progress. I listen to the following when I’m not listening to NPR or inspirational music:

How I Built This

Stories of highly successful entrepreneurs delivered in a super interesting and professional manner. Produced by NPR and hosted by Guy Raz.

Freakonomics Radio

Host Stephen J. Dubner and WNYC Studios come together to provide a series that focuses about everything curious and worth learning from in life

The Tim Ferris Show

Obviously hosted and produced by Tim Ferris, this show is very down to earth and follows the flow of natural conversation between Tim and “world class performers” from professions allover the charts. Learn how to kill it in almost any profession with this podcast.

Ted Radio Hour

Each show, hosted by Guy Raz and produced by NPR and TED, focuses on one theme uniting several TED talks, teaching a lesson worth learning or opening our minds up to consider and question things from multiple perspectives.

The Unbeatable Mind

Mark Divine is a retired Navy Seal Commander, author, and entrepreneur. He runs the gamut of psychological and fitness related topics regarding achieving elite physical, mental, emotional, intuitive, and as he puts it, “heart” self performance.

Ben Greenfield Fitness

Ben is a much respected performance and nutrient coach in the fitness space- he has a lot of wisdom to impart on any listener.

Stuff You Should Know

It’s good to feed the curious entrepreneurial mind and get outside of your own startup bubble by learning something new that you can impress a VC with – that random knowledge can become useful some day you never know!

Entrepreneur on Fire

Quick 20 minute interviews with up and coming entrepreneurs. They share resources, give tips, and paint a picture quickly of how they build their momentum and what we can learn from it.

Optimal Living Daily

This host’s voice is super monotone, but if you can get past that, the content that he chooses to read out loud to you like a book is actually insightful and useful. The podcasts are quick and short shots in the arm for personal development, productivity, and minimalism that you can listen to between point a and point b when you are walking to run errands.
